Roots Butchery was founded with a simple belief: every South African deserves access to quality, fresh meat at prices that don't break the bank. What started as a single store has grown into a family of 175+ butcheries and 45 grills across the country.
We are proudly South African. Our roots run deep in the communities we serve — from Soweto to Sandton, from Cape Town to Polokwane. We employ thousands of South Africans and source our products from local farmers and suppliers wherever possible.
Our six brands — Roots Butchery, Wise, Mammas, Delinyama, 1st Choice, and Roots Grill — each serve a unique community with a unique approach, but all share the same commitment to quality, value, and service.
